Summer Music Camp 2023
Punta Gorda Symphony returns for our annual two-week Summer Music Camp from June 5-9 and June 12-16, 2023 in coordination with Charlotte Players Kids Onstage camp.
Registration is open to all Grade 2-12 beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. Summer Music Camp is a great way for students to stay social, creative, and engaged with an instrument while having fun!
How much?
$200 – Early Registration. Early-bird registration closes on May 5, 2023, at 5:00 pm.
$225 – Regular Registration. Regular registration closes on June 2, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
Students requiring a loaned instrument will be expected to provide an additional $50 refundable check deposit fee.

When?
Grades 2-6 — Monday-Friday, 1 pm – 4 pm
Grade 7-12 — Monday-Friday, 9 am – 12 pm

What to expect!
- Beginner Level
- Three, 45-minute group music lessons daily;
- Instrument Selections:
- Brass: Trumpet, Trombone
- Strings: Violin, Cello, Ukulele, Guitar
- Woodwinds: Recorder, Clarinet, Saxophone
- Music games (grades 2-6)
- Rhythm and movement classes (grades 2-6)
- Instrument Selections:
- Three, 45-minute group music lessons daily;
- Intermediate and Advanced Levels
- Three, 45-minute group music lessons daily;
- Instrument Selections:
- Brass: Euphonium, French Horn, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba
- Piano
- Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Ukulele, Guitar
- Woodwinds: Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone
- Instrument Selections:
- Students will work on scales, arpeggios, technique exercises, and sight-reading in small ensembles. Instructors are encouraging intermediate and advance students to prepare any music they are currently working on.
- Theory and composition practice.
- Three, 45-minute group music lessons daily;
Why Summer Music Camp?

Are instruments required?
- Students may use their own instrument, but do not have to own an instrument to participate.
- A limited number of instruments are available upon request during registration and will be provided with a $50 refundable check deposit. The deposit will be refunded after the loaned instrument is returned in good shape to Punta Gorda Symphony after Summer Music Camp ends.
